Rain to blame for mumbai stampede that killed 23, says railway authorities



The Elphinstone station of mumbai disaster which took 23 life's is now said to be a natures act ,
Safety committee of Railway ministry blamed on rain saying this act has nothing to deal with official negligence.

Report given by five officials says that on September 29, the heavy rain led overcrowding the bridge connecting the two stations, "commuters refuse to let themselves out in rain."
and it also said that a flower seller's cry of "Phool gir gaya" was mistaken as "Pul gir gaya"
which set off panic among commuters.



The incident occurred during the rush hours when thousands of commuters took narrow railway bridge connecting two station. Four trains came in at same time which eventually turned into huge crowd, people running towards the bridge which was already bursting with commuters who took shelter due to the sudden rainfall. as the overcrowd few commuters slipped and people fell on them.

Angry commuters and residents had called this event as a disaster which caused with pure negligence of railway ministry for not taking care of  the bridge and was waiting to happen this.
